Job Information
Experience required for Los Angeles area nanny
jobs
Buckingham Nannies has built its reputation by placing nannies who love children
with families that respect them. This is our major focus and passion. The nanny
jobs that we offer professional nannies are the best paying positions in the
Los Angeles area.
To be considered for a nanny job, you must have a minimum
of two years of child-related work experience. You will
need to have excellent, verifiable references. Work as
a teacher or other child-related work experience may
qualify you. A high school diploma and some college are
a plus. Nannies need a driver's license, must own a car
and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Live-in
nannies are generally provided with a car. We encourage
all qualified nannies living the Los Angeles and Ventura
area to call for an appointment.
Responsibilities and tasks of nanny jobs
The nanny's responsibilities are focused on the child. In the job you will
only be responsible for child-related chores and very light housekeeping,
such as tidying up the kitchen. The families generally have one or two children,
ranging in age from birth to school-age. Most of our jobs are with children
in preschool. The nanny is responsible for all the tasks the parent would
be taking care of if they were able to be home with the child.
Positions, salaries and hours of nanny jobs
The nanny salaries range from $450-$750 per week for our Los Angeles-based
positions. The salaries vary depending on your work experience and education.
Live-out nanny positions are generally Monday through Friday, eight to ten
hours daily. Live-in nannies work either Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday
for ten to twelve hours per day. Live-in nannies are provided with a private
room and a private bathroom. Some live-in nanny jobs have a separate guesthouse.
We have a very high demand for part-time nannies; their salary range is from
$13 to $20 per hour. Part-time schedules vary and we can accommodate many
different schedules.
